In September of 2008, with the help of United way, Dr. Henry Hood, Cathy Bartelmas & Kim Hazlip, the clinic opened to the public. The idea is to help people with immediate needs and others without health insurance. Operating the 1st & 3rd Tuesday nights of each month from 6 to 8 pm, the clinic is staffed by volunteer doctors, nurses, and others, giving freely of their time to this effort.
